How to Customise Furniture
When you're busy planning a client's dream vacation home you will want to make it the best it can be, and sometimes that means that you'll want to customise pieces of furniture. To do this, you will need to be in decorating mode which you can access by pressing down on your directional pad while placing furniture.
Once you're in decorating mode, you will need to hover over or select the piece of furniture that you want to customise. If it can be customised, you will see a little paintbrush symbol appear on the right of your screen and you will need to press X to open it. This will take you to a screen that looks like this:
This will show you how many customisation options that you have for your piece of furniture. Once you've been through them all and found the one that you want, simply click confirm to return to the room and your customised piece will already be there.
Can You Customise All Pieces of Furniture?
No, not all furniture items can be customised. If the paintbrush symbol doesn't appear when you click on or hover over the item, then it cannot be customised and you will need to leave it as it is.
What Is Furniture Customisation?
Furniture customisation is where you change the look or colouring of a piece of furniture to suit your or your client's tastes. However, not all customisation options are the same for all pieces of furniture. Some items can have 2 step customisations where you can customise the main colour and then customise cloth accents on it. You can even customise some pieces of cloth with your own original designs. Alternatively, some will only have 1 customisation option where you can just change the colouring of the item.
