Animal Crossing New Horizons released an ample amount of news today regarding future updates.
Not only will the January Update be arriving very shortly, but they also released their content plan for the next few months.
The next Free Update is going to arrive around March 2021, and we cannot wait!
Here's all we know so far.
Release Date
As of now, we do not know when New Horizons is going to release this update.
We can assume it will be towards the back half of the month.
This is when they typically release their monthly updates for the game.

Mario Crossover
Announced during the Nintendo Direct on February 17th, 2021, they announced some new blocks and outfits coming to the game.
Mario and Luigi outfits will be present within the game along with some special blocks!
One aspect of the March Update that surprised a lot of fans when it was announced was the Mario images within the announcement.
This all but confirms that there will be some type of Mario crossover happening within New Horizons.
This could be anything, but we assume it will be some of the following:
- DIY Recipes
- New Villagers.
- Special Event
- Special island to visit
We cannot wait and see what could be in store for us!
Birthday Event
Another event we can speculate that will be added during this update is New Horizons Birthday Event.
