Aliens: Fireteam is the third-person survival coop game by Cold Iron Studio in collaboration with 20th Century Games now owned by Disney.
The game is set in the universe of the renowned Aliens movie franchise, and it will be a sequel to the 2014 survival horror game Alien: Isolation by game developers Creative Assembly and was published by Sega.
Here’s what we know about the game so far, including when it will be released.
Aliens: Fireteam in a Nutshell
As per the official blurb for the game, it reads as "Set 23 years after the original Alien trilogy, Aliens: Fireteam drops players into the role of a Colonial Marine aboard the USS Endeavor, recently tasked with answering a distress call from the outer colonies. Deploy to overrun facilities, abandoned ruins, and strange alien landscapes as you battle terrifying enemies across four campaigns with two friends or AI teammates.”
Players are deployed in various facilities surrounded by aliens. They can pick either of the three available classes, namely the Gunner, the Technician, or the Demolisher. There will be around 20 types of enemies which are all dubbed as intelligent.
When will Aliens: Fireteam come out?
Aliens: Fireteam is set for release in the Summer of 2021. It will be available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and in Steam for PC players.
That means we can expect to see it launch somewhere between when Summer starts (Monday, 21 June 2021) and when summer officially ends (Wednesday, 22 September 2021).
However, there is still no official announcement on how much the game will cost once it's released worldwide.
