Last week it was also confirmed that Gran Turismo 7 would require an internet connection for its single player campaign. Speaking with Eurogamer, GT creator Kazunori Yamauchi said that the decision was made to prevent cheating in the game.
"The requirement for the online connection isn't specific to the Cafe per se. It's just to prevent cheating overall from people trying to modify the save data, so that's the reason for the online connection," he said.
It was also announced that Gran Turismo 7's PS5 Ray Tracing Is Only Available In Certain Modes.
