Gran Turismo 7's PS5 Ray Tracing Is Only Available In Certain Modes


Since Gran Turismo 7 appeared at last week's PlayStation Showcase, numerous interviews have emerged regarding Sony's upcoming simulation racer. Developed by Polyphony Digital, it looked absolutely stunning in recent previews, though we've now been advised ray tracing isn't available during PS5 gameplay.

Speaking to Japanese website Game Watch, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi revealed that right now, ray tracing is only supported in specific modes. Namely, during replays and inside your garage.

As reported by WCCFTech, Yamauchi stated:

For the time being, you can choose ray tracing in the replay even during the game, and then you can see the stage demo and the picture with ray tracing applied in the garage.
