Gran Turismo 7 got some fresh details during PlayStation Showcase. Launching for PS4 and PS5 on March 4th, 2022, other details and information are being spilled lately, including a note from the latest PlayStation Blog about the game.
As seen from the blog, it says that players must have an internet connection to ‘enjoy the solo experience,’ including the Livery Editor and GT Café mode features.

GT7 Online?
Though this was also seen in Gran Turismo Sport which was even dubbed as an online game. Yet the single-player campaign which is one of the most awaited features GT7 will be bringing back will heavily need an internet connection, too – making the game an online game of some sort as well.
