Blizzard Say Black Temple And Hyjal Summit Wont Have Pre or Post Nerf Versions In The Burning Crusade Classic

Since the Burning Crusade Phase 3 PTR has been live and available for testing for a few days, players have noticed that the difficulty of the upcoming tier 6 raids were using some post-nerf abilities.

Players were quick to criticize Blizzard for nerfing Tier 5 Serpentshrine Caverns, and Tempest Keep too early, which resulted in them delaying the nerfs to give the struggling guilds a few extra weeks to try down the bosses pre-nerf for their own personal achievement.

Community Manager Kaivax said in regards to the upcoming tier 6 raids, "There weren’t many adjustments made after these raids released in Original Burning Crusade, other than a few very minor tweaks and bug fixes."

This means Blizzard will be going with the post nerf versions of these raids from the beginning, which is disappointing for many players, although the Black Temple and Hyjal Summit raid that makes up tier 6, were always easier than its tier 5 counterparts.

Also, Blizzard clarified that they do like the concept of pre and post nerf versions of the raids, and to this day Blizzard still add in nerfs to current content later in the tier's so it's not something new, and players can expect to see the same thing return to the Sunwell Plateau in phase 5.

Players can assume this design will stay around for a while, and will likely progress to Wrath of the Lick King classic, whenever it is announced.
