Khora Overview and Best Weapon Options

Khora has a high potential as DPS if you invest time and Forma in her. Her Whipclaw ability is a really strong attack that can scale up to ridiculous numbers, and Strangledome serves as a boost to it and a crowd control tool at the same time.

Abilities
Passive

Khora's ferocious Kavat, Venari, fights alongside her with steadfast zeal. Venari is an exclusive Companion for the Khora Warframe, integrated as her signature passive ability. Venari will spawn beside Khora when the player first enters a mission, as a permanent companion that lasts until killed.

While Venari is alive, Khora passively gains a movement speed boost. If Venari is killed, she will respawn beside Khora after 45 seconds, or instantly if summoned via the third ability for an energy cost. Both passive features are tied to Khora's Venari ability allowing her to be modified.

Recommended Weapons
Khora can use any melee weapon for her Whipclaw setup, so in that regard, anything will help, and this guide will show Pangolin Sword as a placeholder for the build. The secondary weapon will be the same, it needs two Augur mods in it and the rest is whatever you deem useful. With only the Primary weapon left, it’s recommended a hard-hitter one in case things go south. Ignis will serve that purpose, and of course, if you can afford the Prime or Wraith versions, the better.

However, this time there’s one extra detail. You want to reach high critical numbers with the Whipclaw, and to do that you need to use any Sentinel companion with the Deconstructor equipped, and three Gladiator mods in it, on top of the rest of the setup. Use as many Forma on them as you see fit to achieve the desired build, and you'll be good to go!

Mods List
Aura Mod - Brief Respite
Exilus Mod - Preparation
Loadout

  • Accumulating Whipclaw
  • Rolling Guard
  • Primed Continuity
  • Primed Flow
  • Fleeting Expertise
  • Overextended
  • Streamline
  • Stretch

This Khora setup is built around her first and (on a smaller scale) fourth abilities, Whipclaw and Strangledome, which will require focusing on Range and Efficiency. Whipclaw benefits from the melee mods similar to an Exalted Weapon, so you can achieve a great DPS setup under that concept. You need to use Whipclaw constantly since its damage output will scale with every use under the effect of Accumulating Whipclaw while replacing your shields thanks to Brief Respite. Preparation will help you start the mission on the right foot, and Rolling Guard will provide you helpful invulnerability windows. It’s highly recommended to use the Prime or Umbral versions of these mods, otherwise, it won’t be as powerful.
