An ancient warrior and protector of Cetus, Gara is also known as the “Glass Warrior”. As the nickname indicates, her abilities are themed around glass coming in many forms and giving this iconic warframe great potential in both defensive and offensive approaches.
Her Prime version releases today as part of the new Prime Access, along with the Primed version of Astilla and Volnus, so keep an eye open and we will later update with more information!
How to craft Gara?
Gara's main blueprint will be awarded upon completion of the “Saya's Vigil” quest in Cetus, Earth. Gara's component blueprints are acquired as rewards from the many Bounties in Plains of Eidolon. Additional main blueprints can be bought from Cephalon Simaris for 50,000 Reputation.

Gara Overview and Best Weapon Options
Gara has an array of Abilities with good synergy between them. The combination of Mass Vitrify and Shattered Lash is just too good to ignore her as a DPS character, and also Splinter Storm can help her achieve great things as a tanky unit.
It’s also worth noting that the ability synergy applies between multiple Garas in one squad, where Mass Vitrify's molten glass from one Gara can renew the duration of another Gara's Splinter Storm. Similarly, the explosion of Mass Vitrify by Shattered Lash can add damage to another Gara's Splinter Storm.
On top of all that, if she’s equipped with her signature weapons she will get the following bonuses:
- Fusilai has increased Projectile Speed.
- Volnus has increased radial slam damage.
- Astilla has 80 more max ammo.
While standing in the light, Gara's glass body has a chance to blind enemies within 12 meters for 10 seconds, exposing them to Melee Finisher attacks.

Create an expanding ring of molten glass that slowly crystallizes enemies who enter. When the expansion is complete, the ring hardens to block weapons fire. Since her related weapons get great bonuses, seems fitting for Gara to have them as her main equipment. Volnus, being the fastest of all the Hammer weapons will inflict massive damage to enemies in a short time, working as a great DPS output (build for Status to buff the first Ability). Astilla has the best accuracy of all the Shotguns, making it a great option as Primary Weapon with its Slash procs, and Fusilai has high Puncture damage and very high Reload Speed, so they all work really well when used together.

The idea is simple. You cast Mass Vitrify, then Shattered Lash, and everything around dies. To accomplish this, this balanced build will use mostly basic mods like Stretch, Intensify and Streamline for range, strength and efficiency, with a bit more emphasis on Duration using Continuity and Constitution. Flow will be a welcomed boost to your energy pool and Adaptation and Vitality will bring a great amount of sustain for Gara. As stated before, remember to use a Melee Status build and you will maximize the damage for the first ability.
