Tetris Effect Connected's Multiplayer Beta Is Now Open For PS4

Updated - June 29, 2021

Having previously revealed they'd launch a closed beta for Tetris Effect Connected, Enhance Games has granted open access to all players until July 5th. While it's unclear whether a PC version has gone up for this, PS4 players can access that now directly through the PlayStation Store. Hopefully, it won't be long before we find out when exactly Connected launches on PS4, PSVR and Steam.

Tetris Effect Connected is finally coming to PS4, PSVR and Steam this July. Offering a free multiplayer expansion, Connected initially launched as a timed-exclusive on PC and Xbox last November, but that arrangement has since expired. Better yet, there's also cross-platform multiplayer between these editions.

That includes several online and offline modes which are outlined here, such as Zone Battle, Score Attack, and Classic Score Attack. Most notably, Connected sees you working with other players to defeat a nefarious AI controlled boss and during weekends, events are scheduled to let players control these bosses.

Alongside this, Enhance Games has announced a closed cross-play beta will take place for all existing owners of the game, and that also applies to Xbox and PC players. That goes live from 23rd June until 5th July, so if you're interested in registering, you can do so here.

Elsewhere, rumours have been circulating about potential specifications for the PS5's VR Headset. While it was previously reported to use a 4K resolution, Bloomberg has since stated that it'll use an OLED headset and launch in 2022. You can read more about that right here.
