"This team represents the core values of TSM. We wanted the best players to build out our competitive VALORANT presence - and we found them," said Andy "Reginald" Dinh, founder and CEO of TSM via a new blog post.

"Cath is a veteran leader who has shown clear dominance in various matches since 2017. Athxna shows real prowess as an in-game leader, and with the raw skill that LunarKats, mle, and Zoe possess, I see huge potential for this team.”

TSM's brand partners, including Logitech G and Lenovo, shared their thoughts on the announcement.

"We are thrilled to see our partner, TSM, embracing this growing demographic of gamers and esports enthusiasts by forming an all-woman Valorant team," Matt Bereda, VP of Global Consumer Marketing at Lenovo explained.

"At Lenovo, we believe esports should be inclusive and welcoming to all and are proud that TSM shares these values and is providing opportunities for female gamers."

“It is exciting to see the world of esports making thoughtful strides to advance diversity and inclusion. It's an ongoing journey and one that Logitech G is committed to," said Brent Barry, head of esports at Logitech G.

"Part of that commitment is for brands like us to fully support women and underrepresented genders in professional esports to showcase their talents and highlight the opportunities available to all esports players. We are proud to be on this path with TSM.”

The Game Changers series kicks off tomorrow and offers a $50k prize pool. The event is aimed at increasing opportunities for marginalised genders.
