Valorant: No aim assist available to controller players, according to Summit1g

Valorant, Riot Games' next big project, is starting to build plenty of hype – with the beta arriving on April 3.

Top players have been playing the game already as part of Riot's test, including Jaryd 'summit1g' Lazar, a former Counter-Strike pro.

During a stream on March 29, Lazar revealed a 'ProjectA Alpha' icon on his computer, referencing the game's codename.

We know he's played it, and that makes the following statement about aim assist a little more salient.

“Don’t gotta worry about mkb [mouse and keyboard] vs controller on Valorant,” he tweeted. “No aim assist means they don’t show up to the party.”

Designed to bridge the gap between mouse and keyboard or controller inputs, aim assist can be found in plenty of modern-day shooters which has made it controversial among professional players.
