Uncharted 5: Naughty Dog Talent Joins Sony San Diego

Naughty Dog has passed on the Uncharted franchise to a new studio formed by Sony.

Sony San Diego will be responsible for the next Uncharted project.

Although it's strange that Naughty Dog will not be leading the development, it will be interesting to see how the new studio approaches the franchise.

Naughty Dog may not be producing the next Uncharted title, but their influence on the game will still be felt.

Naughty Dog Talent Joins Sony San Diego Project

Producing a new Uncharted game as a new studio is a daunting task for Sony San Diego.

Particularly because Naughty Dog has built a reputation for quality games with excellent narratives.

However, it definitely helps if you have some Naughty Dog talent on your team of developers.

Zak Oliver, Naughty Dog's environment artist, will serve as Senior Environmental Artist on Sony San Diego's new project.

He most recently spent time working on The Last Of Us: Part 2.

Having Naughty Dog talent on the team producing the new Uncharted project is essential for capturing the magic of the previous games.

It's great to know Oliver can bring his expertise and knowledge from previous Naughty Dog titles to this project.

In terms of what to expect, the new project could be a sequel or a spin-off of the Uncharted series.

With the release of the PlayStation 5 on the horizon, we could potentially see an exclusive for the next-gen console.

Either way, let's hope Sony San Diego's new project is teased or revealed by the end of next year.
