Leaked Screenshot For Total War: Warhammer 3 Appears Online

We received news back in February that Sega and Creative Assembly were planning a third entry for Total War: Warhammer. Incorporating turn-based strategy and real-time tactics into Games Workshop's popular franchise, this spin-off sub-series first appeared in 2016, and a new entry is launching later this year.

We've not had much news since that official announcement, but a leaked screenshot has now emerged from 4Chan. You can find that image below, and within, that appears to confirm a new gameplay mechanic.

With this screenshot, a mission quest can be spotted which requires you to build defensive structure, so you can "Hold out against Khorne's Demons". Furthermore, you can also spot the UI stating this is currently on "Wave 1", leading to speculation that the upcoming sequel might be getting a horde mode.

Unfortunately, that's the only real information we can glean from this, and we'll have to wait for any official reveals from Sega before this gets announced. Currently, Total War: Warhammer 3 is planned for release on PC, Mac and Linux later this year, available through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
