It's been a while since Vicarious Visions' skateboarding remake launched elsewhere. Arriving last September for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 received next-gen upgrades back in March. Now, Activision has finally confirmed a release date on Nintendo Switch.

Despite being merged into Blizzard last January, Activision previously informed Polygon that Vicarious Visions will still work on the Switch port, telling them "Activision told Polygon that original developer Vicarious Visions is on the case", a move that's likely to reassure fans.

Previously, IGN were offered an exclusive look at Pro Skater 1 + 2's gameplay on Switch, so if you're curious to how this port shapes up, you can find that above. We gave this remake a solid 5/5 on PS5 last March, and we're hopeful this Switch edition will live up to expectations.
