Offering an augmented reality experience not dissimilar to Pokémon Go, Monster Slayer's pre-registration for Android players has just gone live, being described as "a chance to participate in early access soft-launch". Sadly, this hasn't been extended to iOS, meaning iPhone users will need to wait.
Android Players Can Start Early Registration For The Witcher: Monster Slayer
Using a free-to-play model, a selection of players will be chosen to download Monster Slayer at the end of April. If you've not played the main series, then there's no need to worry. This takes place before Geralt of Rivia's era, so you can jump straight in.
Monster Slayer still plans to include numerous stories and quests, satisfying that RPG itch, and will involve walking around to find fantasy beasts, using RPG-inspired combat. A wider release date hasn't been confirmed, but we'll keep you updated as we learn more.
