As one of the most unique free-to-play FPS games around, The Finals has a host of game modes for players to blast their way through the game's incredible destructible maps. With the arrival of a brand-new season, The Finals game mode list has a new addition for long-time players to enjoy.

The Finals is a free-to-play live-service title, so we can still expect more game modes to be introduced further down the line, taking advantage of its many quirks and features. For example, the introduction of The Finals Season 2 has brought a brand-new game mode with it that takes advantage of the game's whacky setting.

With that being said, here is a list of all game modes in The Finals that you can play so far as well as information on modes that have been removed. The Finals game modes list

With the release of Season 2 of The Finals, there's a total of four permenant game modes that can be played. These include Quick Cash, Bank It, Power Shift and both Ranked and Unranked Tournament versions of CashOut.

Quick Cash

In Quick Cash, three teams will fight for one vault at a time. Your main objective is to collect and extract a total of two vaults. So, with both respawn and extraction rates being heightened, you can expect Quick Cash games to end, well, quick!

Among the three game modes currently in The Finals, Quick Cash is definitely the most laid-back, casual one.

Bank It

In Bank It, four teams fight amongst each other to collect as many coins as they can. Once a team reaches the maximum number of coins or simply has the most coins accumulated by the end of the time limit, they win.

Clearly, Bank It works as The Finals' own unique take on the Team Deathmatch, so you can expect its lobbies to get a bit heated.

Power Shift

With the arrival of The Finals Season 2, players are able to engage in Power Shift, a 5v5 King of the Hill-style mode that takes advantage of the game's massive destruction physics and wild gameplay modifiers.

In Power Shift, the platform that teams need to keep ahold of will move through the map, smashing through buildings to keep moving. There will also be the usual modifiers such as Low Gravity, Orbital Strikes and Alien Invasions.

Tournament (Cashout)

Tournament mode, also known as Cashout, works as you might expect. Sixteen teams enter a bracket and battle it out in multiple games until only one comes out on top. As for the rules, teams will be tasked with finding cashboxes and depositing their funds inside them.

Tournament mode comes in both Ranked and Unranked formats, with the former being The Finals' most high-stakes game mode yet.

The Finals Removed Game Modes

Over the course of The Finals' life Embark Studios has added multiple limited-time game modes that have since been cut from the free-to-play game. While these game modes might come back in future seasons and events, they are currently not available to play in the game.

Steal the Spotlight

One of the first limited-time game modes for The Finals, Steal the Spotlight was added partway through The Finals Season 1. This mode was a solo Bank It mode that saw players use preset loadouts against a slew of opponents.

This mode was only available to play on the Las Vegas 2032 map. In this mode, the first player to reach $40,000 would win the match.

Smoking Guns

The final event of The Finals season one, Smoking Guns was a cowboy-themed mode that took place entirely in Monaco. This 3v3v3v3 mode had limited loadouts and added cowboy-themed aesthetics such as saloon doors and cowboy hats dotted around the map.
