New Gameplay Footage Emerges For Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Fans have been waiting some time for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Covering the entire 9-film saga with over 300 characters in an open-world premise, originally this was due for a Spring 2021 launch.

Sadly, developer TT Games confirmed a delay several weeks ago, currently leaving this anticipated game without a release window.

However, one observant fan, Ramsay Sanders, noticed that LEGO's recent ‘Build, Play, Game’ advertising campaign features a set of small gameplay clips. Uploaded back in October, this compilation has recently come to light, placing four 15-second adverts into one video.

That includes a fight on Kashyyyk between Anakin Skywalker and General Grievous, an AT-AT falling over, Darth Vader on the Death Star, Rey and Kylo Ren fighting around the second Death Star's remains, and some X-Wing footage.

While it doesn't tell us much about the actual gameplay - and these aspects could potentially change as development continues - some differences are noticeable.

During the Rey and Kylo Ren boss fight, you can spot the use of a health bar here as opposed to hearts, while Anakin and Grievous' fight offers a glimpse at the new combo system.

Considering the grand scale of this adventure, we cannot wait to see how it turns out, and here's hoping we get a new release date soon.
