S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is currently aiming for an April 2022 launch, though if a recent rumour's to be believed, plans have now changed. Reportedly, GSC Game World has now delayed their upcoming sequel until late 2022.
According to Ukranian content creator OLDboi, GSC Game World will be announcing that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2's been delayed to Autumn 2022, arriving around October. OLDboi's known for previously confirmed leaks about developments about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and its developers, adding weight to this.
Stalker 2 Heart Of Chernobyl Delayed, New Release Window in Late 2022
Right now, GSC Game World hasn't formally commented on this but if true, that'd place the game's release window close to Starfield, Saints Row, and Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. Arguably, it has few direct contenders at this time, though that'll certainly change as the year advances.
Elsewhere, the developers recently backpedaled on pursuing NFTs with Stalker 2 and the multiplayer's launching in a post-release update. We'll have to wait for official updates from the developer to see if this game will still arrive on April 28th, 2022 for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The developers also confirm that announcements, updates, and showcases will be revealed throughout the year. However, the developers didn't leave dates for the next announcements after the delay.
