Rust, the game that stayed in early access for more than five years.

Eventually, it became loved by many and still has a strong and loyal community.

It could have an even larger player base if it came to console and it looks like that may not be too far off.

Rust Console

Rust Console Edition is now out on PS4 and Xbox One and is playable on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X via backwards compatibility.

Release Date

The release date of Rust Console Edition was May 21, 2021, which means it is now out.

Editions

Rust has three different editions on consoles. The base Standard Edition includes the game and the Future Weapons and Tools Pack.

The Deluxe Edition is packed with a Welcome Pack, staging branch access, and the Future Weapons and Tools Pack.

The final edition in the Ultimate Edition and includes everything in the above two editions, along with an upgraded Welcome Pack, 1100 Rust Coins, and an Elite Combat Skin Pack.

Crossplay

We expect Rust to receive cross-play at some point in the future on consoles.
