First of all, we’re not going to apologise for the tone in this piece. Now then, if you fancy yourself as something of a ball-handling genius in Rocket League, then maybe you’d like to try and earn yourself a bit of money?
Normally you’d have to visit websites that’ll try and curse your computer to earn money with those kinds of skills, but this time around, you can actually just take part in a rather unusual Rocket League challenge. Do you think you have what it takes to beat the time an SSL set for handling 50 balls?
Can you handle all of these balls?
The aim is simple: you just have to sink 50 balls into the goal as fast as you possibly can. While this sounds like something you can only do using a mod, it turns out that this is all thanks to a very clever hacked training pack instead. All you need to do is enter the code C5DE-E386-CCAD-F76B in the custom training pack section to be able to try this out.
You can watch the video to see how the players there all found it, but it turns out that it’s a lot more time-consuming than you might think. What’s really cool though, is that Rocket Sledge, the person who did the video, is running a competition to see who can do this the fastest, and the two best entries will win a prize.
A word for those on PC who use Bakkesmod, it seems to completely bork the whole ball-handling thing and plonks you into the wrong map. So, make sure you disable the mod before loading up Rocket League if you want to get a firm grasp of the challenge in the right place. Lord knows you don’t want to slip up before you even begin, because that’d be far too painful.
Also, while we did try it out, we found it far more entertaining to simply drive around like an idiot bumping into everything. It’s not often you get the chance to see that many balls at once, you know? If you fancy just messing around with more or fewer balls, there are actually 30-ball and 100-ball variants too, but they’re not the ones you need to master to earn some money.
