Resident Evil Village: First Look at New World Map

Resident Evil Village is the eighth instalment in the saga, and seems to be the most ambitious yet.

With our first look at the world map, we can't wait to see what this 'Village' has waiting for us!

New World Map

A new world map has been revealed for the upcoming Resident Evil Village.

Revealed by IGN, the map showcases a number of new locations for the first time as well as one we've seen before. Castle Dimitrescu featured in the Maiden demo for Resident Evil, and seems to be one of the main locations in Village.

We hope the developers stick to their core idea of the Village having separate areas with different enemy types and difficulties.

This adds depth to the game, and makes areas of the map feel more rewarding than others, especially in the later stages of the campaign.

Other Game Art

Alongside the release of the world map, we get a look at some new game art.

We get to see how Lady Dimitrescu (one of the main characters in Village) was created from concept art, as well as a look at her daughters.

In more of the concept art we see our protagonist Ethan Winters holding what appears to be a shotgun, and Chris Redfield carrying a baby.

Take a look at more of the concept art here!

Release Date

Resident Evil Village is set to release on 7 May 2021.

As long as the game has no delays or development issues, we are still on track to get our hands on Village by this date.
