Former Rockstar Artist Reimagines The Last of Us, Resident Evil as Comics

If you’ve dreamed of a The Last of Us comic reboot or even Resident Evil comics, you aren’t alone.

Former Rockstar artist Mark Scicluna spent most of May imagining The Last of Us Part 2 and Resident Evil Village as comic books in his signature style (thanks TheGamer).

Scicluna helped give life to several of Rockstar’s iconic creations, including the Bully Anniversary Edition, Red Dead Redemption 2, L.A. Noire, and GTA Online, and his Twitter is full of work at various stages of completion.

Scicluna showed the process of turning his ideas from line drawings into fully realized comic covers and certainly didn’t skimp on detail.

One of his Last of Us covers shows Clickers and Runners.

Another gives us Abby and Jesse in comic style, but it’s the worn, tattered look Scicluna creates around the central border that gives each cover an extra touch of authenticity.

Scicluna’s Resident Evil Village comic cover features Lady Dimitrescu, because of course it does, in the suspenseful moment where she meets Ethan Winters for the first time.

It’s not Scicluna’s first venture into video game comic art either.

He’s developed an extensive portfolio of video game comic covers, including a new Uncharted adventure and several Crash Bandicoot covers inspired by the original trilogy.

We can only hope one day, someone commissions Scicluna to create more than just covers because these look amazing.
