Resident Evil Village PR Stunt Had Capcom Put A Chalk Drawing Of A Lycan On A Somerset Hill

When it comes to crazy PR stunts, it has been a while since we have seen one as big as Capcom just pulled, as the publisher has put a giant chalk drawing of a Lycan on a hill in Somerset, England for Resident Evil Village.

The chalk drawing is located in the Mendip Hills, near Cheddar and was first reported by the local press when it appeared overnight earlier this week. Later on, the Resident Evil Village logo was then added revealing why this figure was added to the hill. Initially, local residents were stumped by it.

The Lycan is 58m high and more than 100m long and has been picked up by more media outlets now that its true nature was revealed. It was created in less than 24 hours and bears some of the hallmarks of the classic chalk drawings in the region.

Honestly, though, this is a pretty cool PR stunt and one that definitely got our attention and others. Resident Evil Village has been a huge success, launching to more than 100,000 players on Steam.

We loved the game in our review which you can read here. And, if you are playing yourself, be sure to keep up to date with our guide hub providing tips on collectibles and more.
