Hideo Kojima has announced the Death Stranding Director's Cut at Summer Games Fest Live.

New PS5 footage was revealed, with some slightly bizarre nods to Metal Gear Solid.

No mention was made of Death Stranding Director's Cut appearing on PS4 or PC, only PS5. But to be honest very little was mentioned as to what content at all will appear in the Director's Cut.

What is the Death Stranding Director's Cut Release Date?

For the time being Hideo Kojima and Sony have stopped short of announcing a release date for the Director's Cut of Death Stranding.

However, we would imagine it's most certainly coming in 2021.

Host Geoff Keighley also mentioned that a full reveal for the Director's Cut is "just weeks away".

Obviously, Sony PlayStation isn't taking part in E3 2021, so perhaps there's another PlayStation State of Play Broadcast on the way.

We imagine a full release date, along with prices and pre-order bonuses will be announced when the full reveal takes place.
