Thanks to a Senior Software Engineer job listing, Sony may have hinted at the development of a PlayStation 5 Pro.
As seen by TweakTown, this particular role talks about contributing to the Graphics API that powers PS5 games, as well as crafting "the architecture of multiple generations of PlayStation consoles." Considering the PS4 Pro was a mid-generation upgrade to Sony's previous console, many believe this could relate to a theoretical PS5 Pro.
PS5 Pro Speculations Arise With Sony's New Job Listing
Previous reports have suggested the PS5 Pro could arrive in 2024, focused on 8K gaming. Elsewhere, other rumours circulated that it'll feature the AMD Zen 3 SoCs, utilizing more powerful GPU and CPU performance. Allegedly, this console will cost around $600-$700, according to YouTuber Moore’s Law Is Dead.
Of course, until Sony make any formal announcements, take any rumours with a grain of salt. A follow-up to the PS5 is inevitable, though when and in what form are two separate matters. In the meantime, make sure to follow us for more gaming news and updates.
