How To Catch Shiny Legendaries In The Crown Tundra

Legendary Pokemon are among the strongest throughout the entire series, after all they are the box art for every game.

Now, the release of The Crown Tundra has implemented all legendary Pokemon from previous titles back into Sword and Shield.

News also broke in the leadup to the DLC releasing that every legendary Pokemon is going to have a 100% catch rate.

This was the best news a lot of shiny Pokemon hunters have heard in quite some time.

Let's take a closer look at how to get shiny legendary Pokemon!

Luck

Catching a shiny Pokemon is one of the most challenging aspects of any Pokemon game.

There have been people playing the Pokemon series since it first released, and they still have never encountered a shiny Pokemon in the wild.

However, the thrill and adventure in catching one are why some people dedicate countless hours to catching them.

Since all of the legendary Pokemon are 100% catch rate in the Crown Tundra, an opportunity like no other has appeared.

In previous games, it may have been a bit tedious to try and hunt shiny legendary Pokemon; but not it appears better than ever.

Dynamax Adventures

Nintendo has posted a blog posted detailing all the new content coming in this DLC.

They have also stated that players will be able to find legendary Pokemon throughout the game and during Dynamax adventures.

Here's a quick refresher into Dynamax Adventures.

With The Crown Tundra, you’ll be able to encounter every Legendary Pokémon that’s appeared in the main series of Pokémon games! Find Legendary Pokémon during your travels in the Crown Tundra or while you’re on Dynamax Adventures, and you’ll have a chance to catch them! Some Legendary Pokémon appear only in Pokémon Sword with the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass, while others appear only in Pokémon Shield with the Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass.

In Dynamax Adventures, you’ll team up with three other Trainers to explore a Pokémon Den where Dynamax Pokémon are said to lurk!

Instead of your regular Pokémon team, you and your fellow Trainers will choose rental Pokémon to bring along into the depths of the den. If you encounter a wild Dynamax Pokémon during your exploration, you’ll need to work together with your three teammates in a Max Raid Battle!

So, it appears a bit of luck is still going to be on your side if you are going to have a legendary Pokemon appear during one of these raids.

However, we know how persistent some of you legendary hunters are; so there is no doubt you will get one eventually.

Best of luck!
