Pokemon Sword and Shield: Champion Cup Elite 4 Guide for Champion Leon of the Pokemon League

The Elite 4 in Pokemon Sword and Shield is far from what most trainers expect going into the stadium.

The final battle you will have to endure is, of course, the older brother of your rival Hop and the champion of the Galar Region Leon.

Leon has featured throughout the game as a side character, quite frequently, and the long-awaited battle is finally here.

So what Pokemon does Leon have and how can you beat him? Here are our tips and tricks to becoming the Galar Champion.

Different Teams

Depending on the starter Pokemon you picked at the beginning of Sword and Shield, Leon's will change during the battle.

Much like any other champion he has a variety of Pokemon typing that can counter-act whatever plan you had in store for Leon.

His final Pokemon will be the famous Charizard, that he will Dynamx and he can certainly pack a punch, as it knows some grass-type moves so beware water Pokemon.

Other than his Pokemon, one thing to take into consideration is Leon's Pokemon levels. Unlike the rest of the battles you have faced, Leon's Pokemon are around 5-10 LVL's higher than the rest of the trainers, so be sure to factor this into consideration.
