Pokemon: New Patent Hints At Future Project


The 25th Anniversary of Pokemon is upon us in 2021!

Pokemon is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable franchises in the entire world. 

Not only have the mainstream Pokemon games found success within players, but Pokemon GO has solidified itself as the go-to mobile game in recent years.

With rumors circulating that they are gearing up to announce Diamond and Pearl remakes next month, a new patent filed by Pokemon has alluded to a new project potentially. 

Here's all we know! 

 

Fusion

PokeGuardian on Twitter has noted that the Pokemon Company has filed a new trademark for the phrase Fusion Arts.

As well, they have noted it has been filed under the following classification: 

Minor news:

New trademark named 'Fusion Arts' (フュージョンアーツ) got filed by Nintendo, Creatures and Game Freak.

Falls under Class 28 - Games, toys and playthings, where the TCG also falls under.

 

What this new patent means is unknown as of now.

However, some Twitter users have prompted ideas that may prove true whenever Pokemon decides to announce this new patent. 

Twitter user shinraton had a brilliant idea as they suggested: Fusion Arts“...like... mixing old styles from first gens with new ones for the 25th anniversary  

Furthermore, KentCho24205031 has alluded to the notion that this could be a special type of TCG card they are planning on releasing! This is probably the special type of cards they talked about
