Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Gym Leaders - Everything We Know

A supposed Pokemon leaker has taken to Twitter to share some images that they claim to show the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Gym Leaders who’ll feature in the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

With the game set to release in November this year, excitement is already building and these images - despite the fact that they’re pretty blurry - have done nothing but add to the hype level of some prospective players.

At the same time, many Pokemon veterans are treating the supposed leak with a degree of healthy cynicism. Read on for more info.

Who Are the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Gym Leaders?

Posting on Twitter, user PokemonLEAKS first shared a collage of pictures which they suggest to show all of the game’s gym leaders, plus three new pokemon and the player’s in-game rival.

If the leaker’s claim of showing all of the gym leaders turns out to be true, it would seem as though there will be six of them in total, with three being male and three female.

They weren’t done there either, posting two other tweets featuring supposed images of one other character and an extra pokemon.

Reaction to these supposed reveals in the subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumours was mixed, with the top comments in the thread discussing the tweets suggesting that the leakers behind them could be taking a big risk.

User lizzofatroll cited the story of two Pokemon Sword and Shield leakers being taken to court by the Pokemon Company over some leaked photos from an unreleased strategy guide for the game, with the pair being forced to pay $150k each in damages and attorneys’ fees in 2021.

Meanwhile, user 40classicsfeatJim questioned why the images posted were so blurry, prompting itstonayy to suggest that they may have originated from a play test, during which the photos would have been taken covertly, possibly providing a reason for their low quality.

Others speculated as to whether the leaks were trustworthy, a question which likely won't be answered until the game arrives in a few months time.
