Cherubi evolutions in Pokemon Go

Cherubi has only one evolution in Pokemon Go – Cherrim. However, you may notice that your Cherrim looks wildly different than that of another trainer.

This is because Cherrim has two different forms in Overcast Cherrim and Sunshine Cherrim. In the mainline games, Cherrim would switch between these two forms depending on the weather, but that’s not the case in Pokemon Go.

In this mobile game, a Cherubi can evolve into either version of Cherrim after feeding it enough candy, but the form it takes will be permanent. Which form your Cherubi will evolve into is random, so be prepared to go out and catch some more in case you don’t get the one you want.

Differences between Overcast Cherrim and Sunshine Cherrim

Cherrim’s two forms have a couple of differences between them but the obvious one is their physical appearances. Sunshine Cherrim has a pink and yellow colour scheme with its petals wide open, exposing the Pokemon’s cheerful face. Meanwhile, Overcast Cherrim has large purple petals that are draped over the majority of its body, obscuring most of its physical traits.

In terms of stats and gameplay, the two forms are almost identical. Sunshine Cherrim does have a bit of an edge over its Overcast counterpart though, as it can learn an extra Charged Move called Weather Ball (Fire).
