Game Freak has released Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl update 1.3.0, which adds new events for catching some new legendary Pokémon.
Furthermore, fans can finally trade their Pokémon through the GWS on Jubilife City, though you'll need a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Events and new features aside, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl 1.3.0 comes with the usual bug fixes too, offering a “more pleasant gameplay.”
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl 1.3.0: Arceus Event and GWS Trading

- Added an event related to Pokémon Legends: Arceus. If a user on a Nintendo Switch system has save data from Pokémon Legends: Arceus that meets set requirements, that player can take part in a special event to meet the Mythical Pokémon Arceus when playing the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Pokémon Shining Pearl games.
- Added a network-trading feature at GWS. It is now possible to trade Pokémon online at the GWS in Jubilife City. Note: A Nintendo Switch Online membership (paid service) is required to trade Pokémon online.
- Some issues have been fixed for more pleasant gameplay.
Players can update their copies of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to 1.3.0 right now. Both games are available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
