Is Sumire in Persona 5 Strikers?

Sumire is no doubt a gorgeous and much loved Persona character.

But will we see her in Persona 5 Strikers?

Is Sumire in Persona 5 Strikers?

Unfortunately, like many characters, Sumire did not make the cut for Persona 5 Strikers.

At some point in the title, they reference the events of Persona 5 Royal's third semester.

It is then revealed that Sumire is absent due to attending the Internationals.

Technically Sumire is actually Kasumi.

For a bit of back story, Sumire and Kasumi were twins, both raised as gymnasts.

Kasumi was the more talented of the two and over time Sumire grew jealous.

One day when it all got too much Sumire ran from Kasumi during an argument and was almost hit by a car.

Her sister, Kasumi, had pushed her out of harm's way, leading to her own death.

Sumire then decided to take on her sister's identity in hopes to keep her legacy alive, likely due to guilt.

As well as that, the newest title leads on from the original Persona 5.

So most of what happened in Royal isn't even included in the game.

If Sumire/Kasumi was a major reason for you to play Persona 5 Strikers, you may want to rethink purchasing.
