Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti Specs

The Upcoming RTX 3070 TI graphics card is designed to offer good performance for gamers who enjoy both high refresh rates and Ray tracing. The second generation of graphics card struggled to maintain over 60 Hz when ray tracing was enabled.

It is stated to feature 6,144 CUDA cores for increased performance, and for many gamers, that means 4K at 144 Hz is now a possibility without spending over a thousand dollars on a graphic card.

This graphics card does feature a high TDP than its predecessor, the RTX 3070, as it features a 290-watt power draw, and the RTX 3070 only had a 220-watt power draw. This might require some to upgrade their power supply, if they were using a 650-watt or a 600-watt PSU.

Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti Specs

The RTX 3080 Ti graphics card looks to be right behind the RTX 3090 in terms of performance and power, thanks to its 10,240 CUDA cores and 12 GB of GDDR6X memory. Both of which translates to excellent performance in games and fast rendering for video editors.

In addition to the high CUDA core count will also be using a 384-bit memory buy, which is another similarity that it has with the RTX 3090. For the required power, it features a 350-watt power draw at max load, meaning that the recommended power supply is a 750-watt model.

The power draw, memory bus interface and high core count will most likely make the RTX 3080 Ti very similar in terms of performance to the RTX 3090.

Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti Release Dates

Both graphics cards slated to release in June, with the RTX 3080 Ti said to release on June 3rd and the RTX 3070 Ti is coming a bit later in the month on June 10th.

This gives anyone unlucky enough not to get an RTX 3080 Ti a chance to get the RTX 3070 Ti when it releases just a week later!

Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti Price

The Nvvidia RTX 3080 Ti should be coming in at £1049 / $1199, with the RTX 3070 Ti hitting a much an arguably more reasonable £529 / $599.

Should you upgrade?

The RTX 3080 Ti and the RTX 3070 Ti offer impressive performance gain from even NVIDIA's second generation graphics cards. This means that anyone who enjoys enabling ray tracing in-game but has been unsatisfied with the performance may want to pick up one of these graphics cards.

However, anyone with an RTX 3080 or RTX 3090 could pick up these cards but would see minimal performance gain or even a slight performance loss if they downgraded to the RTX 3070 Ti and previously had the RTX 3080 or the RTX 3090.

Should you get a 3080 Ti or a 3070 Ti?

For anyone looking for the best performance and who doesn't care about the cost, the RTX 3080 Ti is a fantastic choice. While anyone else looking to build a powerful setup and has a reasonable budget, the RTX 3070 Ti is significantly cheaper and should still offer incredible performance.
