Path of Exile: Siege of the Atlas Console Start Time

That was quite a lot to take in but now Grinding Gear Games have revealed in full their next big update: Path of Exile: Siege of the Atlas.
Though we'd recommend watching the trailer below for a deeper look at the changes set to come to the game, the crux is that this expansion introduces new pinnacle bosses, the Archnemesis Challenge league and revamps Path of Exile’s endgame systems.
Here's a quick overview of the new storyline:
In Siege of the Atlas, you’re called forth to defend Wraeclast and the Atlas against two new cosmic threats: The Searing Exarch and The Eater of Worlds. They seek to consume the Atlas and everything in it. Commander Kirac is establishing a militia and needs you to scout the Atlas to gather intel and keep these threats at bay. As well as new unique items, these new pinnacle bosses guard valuable currency which can be used to craft your valued items to make them as powerful as possible.
As noted before, the developers have reworked Path of Exile’s endgame to increase its depth while taking out the busywork present in its previous incarnation.
"We’ve removed the Atlas’ regions and have introduced a new Atlas-wide passive skill tree which enables you to specialise in playing whatever type of content you like best, and bolstering both its difficulty and reward," Bex, the Community Manager confirmed.
Now, we suggest you have a watch of this new trailer for the full lowdown and a look at the new expansion:

This of course means that there are now under two weeks left to purchase the existing Expedition Supporter Packs before they leave the store for good. At the time of writing there are two pairs of Expedition Supporter Packs available in the store; the Soulkeeper Supporter Pack and the Aesir Supporter Pack (seen below). Grab them both whilst you still can!

Grinding Gear Games has announced the next expansion for the game. Patch 3.17 will be called Path of Exile: Siege of the Atlas!
In just under two weeks' time, the team will host an exclusive livestream to reveal Path of Exile's 3.17 endgame expansion. You'll be able to watch the full show on January 27th at 11am (PST) (7pm GMT) on the Path of Exile Twitch Channel.
"In the livestream, you'll learn all about new endgame content in Siege of the Atlas and the features of the challenge league that will accompany the expansion," a message from the team confirmed. "It's followed by a live Q&A between ZiggyD and Chris Wilson."
Following the reveal, the new expansion will go live for free on February 4th on PC, with console players able to jump in on February 9th.

What is the PoE 3.17 Update Release Date?
At the time of writing, Grinding Gear Games has not provided a specific release date for the Path of Exile 3.17 update. However, they have given a 'rough' outline of when to expect the next major update to the game.
As we close out 2021, we wanted to give you an idea of what to expect at the beginning of 2022 with Path of Exile's next big expansion. We're currently expecting to launch the 3.17 expansion in early February. This means that the Scourge League will be extended by at least two weeks.
We will confirm the exact dates as soon as we can but we do know that there's at least a two-week delay from our usual schedule so far. We want to give our staff the freedom and flexibility to take time off over the New Zealand summer holidays and recharge for the year ahead. Once our team resumes, we'll start to nail down the exact dates and will let you know.
PoE 3.17 Update Confirmed Changes
Now that we're in 2022, Grinding Gear Games have given fans a few more details on what to expect with the launch of PoE 3.17 later this year. Unfortunately for anyone who has been enjoying Scourge, it's bad news.
As we mentioned recently, we're expecting to launch our 3.17 expansion in early February which means that the ongoing Scourge Challenge League will end fairly soon. It prompts the question, will Scourge become a core Path of Exile mechanic?
The short answer is no. We don't have any current plans to bring Scourge back. It may still return some time in the future but we can't give any current indications for when that might be or what Scourge would look like as core game content.
In case you have unfinished challenges in this league, there are still a few weeks left to complete them before we say goodbye to The Last to Die and send the Scourge back to where they came from. - Posted by Natalia_GGG
When Is The PoE 3.17 Livestream?
As communicated by the dev team, the PoE 3.17 update is expected to launch "early February". Typically we see the developers host a livestream a week prior to the launch of the expansion. This was confirmed in the developer's message to fans back in December.
As per usual, our livestream announcement will take place about one week prior to the expansion's launch. We'll make sure there are some juicy Twitch Drops for viewers, of course.
We imagine that the next developer livestream could happen as early as February 3, 2022. We imagine we'll get confirmation of this livestream at some stage in January, so keep your eyes peeled for details in the not too distant future.
Will PoE 3.17 Update Add 'Hard Mode'?
Prior to the turn of the year, Grinding Gear Games acknowledged that there's been a clamor from fans for a new 'hard mode'. However, the team also said that testing for this new experimental mode had been put on ice and wouldn't be arriving until after the launch of the 3.17 Update. The developers told fans:
We had mentioned in the past that we were going to start some testing before 3.17 launches, but as we have been prioritising 3.17's development, it's now slated for sometime after 3.17's launch.
At the time of writing no specific details on when this hard mode could arrive, but we could yet be given more details on the team's next livestream.
