Warzone glitch gives players hacks then bans them

A Warzone glitch is providing players with free wallhacks before kicking them out of the action before the final circle forms.

Warzone is no stranger to game-breaking bugs and glitches from ruining the battle royale. The start of Season 1 Reloaded completely broke the game, much to the annoyance of those attempting to complete the revamped Champion's Quest.

As a match reached its climax, the player encountered a visual glitch that allowed them to see through rocky areas of the Urzikstan map that had failed to render. With nothing blocking the view, they managed to spot an unsuspecting enemy and eliminate them with ease, before disappearing back to the main menu.

The issue happened to Reddit user AmarOriginal, who uploaded a clip of their stream to showcase the problem.

Although the unintentional glitch did give the player an unfair advantage over the remaining players, punishing Amar for making the most of it seems a little harsh.

"It makes absolutely no sense," says Amar. "Other streamers will have 10+ spectators and a million kills and will be completely fine. I could have half of those and will get shadowed every time." Others are growing tired of the inconsistent shadowbanning system that's preventing legitimate players from loading into Warzone matches. Another player adds: "The game is s**t and the report system is s**t."

With the launch of Season 2 on the horizon, there's a chance Raven Software and the team behind Ricochet anti-cheat provide updates surrounding the performance of dealing with those using third-party software and hardware to gain an unfair advantage during a match.

However, with areas of the map becoming transparent, there's every chance the anti-cheat continues swinging the ban hammer on players encountering a glitch through no fault of their own. Let's hope the next seasonal update addresses various map exploits to prevent a mass exodus of Urzikstan and a sudden decline of players attempting to appeal their wrongful bans.
