In unexpected circumstances, a Swedish Twitch streamer known as RelicKris is in a dire situation in Japan. He was stranded and homeless after a donator's bank charged back a donation of money meant to fund his journey.

The streamer, who has built a community on Twitch, utilized the funds to embark on a trip to Asia with his partner. However, shortly after arriving in Japan, he faced a financial crisis when the donator's bank initiated a chargeback, retracting the gifted funds.

Kris shared his distressing situation on Twitch. He revealed that he and Emmy (his partner) had some goals to travel to Asia, and a generous person donated money to fund their travel goals. During his stream, he said he didn't know any option and would figure it out in the evening but was unsure what he would do.

His difficulties have ignited discussions within the Twitch community about the risks of relying on donations for significant expenses, particularly when the funds are not secured. Regarding Twitch donations, viewers can dispute a payment or donation that may result in a chargeback. And because of that, many viewers did not sympathize with Kris, declaring he must've been cautious and waited until the funds were securely in his possession before booking the trip.

As the news spread on Reddit, a user remarked that he must not spend money he doesn't have. Knowing that he's been on Twitch for a while, he should have known that chargeback happens. He must not trust donations until they are 100% processed and reflected in his bank account, and he must be more cautious about big donations.

Another user commented that even if it is true, he's using it to get more money from people; it's like the donation is bait. For someone who doesn't have extra money to stay for a night or get back home, it is awful, however (he's streaming right now), so he'll get 100% money.
