Palworld continues to dominate the sales charts but a recent update has upset fans, as it fixed a bug players liked, since it let them capture Tower Bosses. The devs have realized this, as they apologized for removing this bug, though they didn’t say if it would be coming back.

On Twitter, the game’s official account apologized for fixing this popular bug, acknowledging that players liked capturing Tower Bosses when they weren’t supposed to. Many fans see this as a big deal since most companies expect fans to suck it up when a bug they like is removed.

“As a result of various bugs that we fixed in the most recent patch, a bug that allowed players to capture the tower boss was unintentionally fixed,” the devs said. “We apologize for inadvertently fixing a bug.”

Since the devs acknowledged it, Palworld fans are hoping that this bug is going to come back in a future update, though we’ll have to wait and see. Future updates can always make these bosses available as regular Pals, especially with newer creatures getting added to the game. The devs did release a roadmap showing DLC plans, but here’s hoping fixing this bug becomes a priority.

Even with this fan-favorite bug fixed, fans are still playing Palworld, with many enjoying the combination of monster-catching and survival sim elements. This has shown in the sales, as the game keeps breaking records on Steam and Xbox, despite some of the hype dying down.

While it’s no longer a hot topic, it wasn’t that long ago when critics were accusing the game of stealing designs from Pokémon and using AI to cover it up. The accusations were so big that The Pokémon Company said they would investigate its competitor, though nothing has come from it thus far.
