Modern Warfare 3 players want big-team playlist to be permanent

Modern Warfare 3 players are asking for a recently added big-team playlist to become a permanent multiplayer fixture.

Before Season 1 gets underway, Sledgehammer Games updated the Modern Warfare 3 playlists with a range of new game modes to play. Instead of six players taking on another squad of six, two teams of ten can load into the action.

In some cases, the arrival of a new playlist won't strike a chord with millions of players but the arrival of a ten-versus-ten playlist is proving popular. It's so popular some are calling for the Modern Warfare 3 developers to make it a permanent alternative to the standard six-versus-six action.

Reddit user KmarsJK believes the mode delivers a classic Call of Duty experience.

The fan says: "I can't stop playing and when I'm not playing I am thinking about the game. It's exactly the same feeling that I used to feel in 2012-13." It turns out they're not the only ones enjoying the increased player count. Another adds: "Most of these maps play much better with 10v10."

While many are enjoying the increase in pace, others aren't the biggest fans of SBMM creating ultra-competitive matches. One player thinks: "What am I missing here, I've tried a few games of 10v10 and it feels more intense and sweaty if anything."

Despite the increase in sweatiness, the addition of four more players on each team is one way of spicing up the action across the board. However, with a playlist update taking place every week, there's a chance it could disappear altogether.

Sledgehammer Games often listens to the concerns of players and with 10v10 action proving more popular than 6v6, removing the playlist wouldn't go down well. With a new season on the horizon, we may see 10v10 join the likes of Team Deathmatch and Domination as a playlist that's always available for players to get their fix of chaotic fast-paced action. For the time being, make the most of Modern Warfare 3's 10v10 before it's replaced.
