  • Warhorse Studios is announcing a new game next week
  • Fans and insiders alike are predicting Kingdom Come 2
  • The game gets revealed on April 18

Warhorse Studios is planning to reveal a new game next week and many fans are hoping it will be Kingdom Come 2. The image shared by Warhorse and speculation from insiders does point to a sequel, but fans will have to wait for next week before anything is confirmed.

On Twitter, Warhorse shared that they will be revealing a new game next Thursday on April 18, with our only clue being someone on top of a horse. Naturally, many fans are assuming that this is a sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance since that’s the company’s only game thus far.

Gaming insider Tom Henderson has also claimed that this reveal is going to be Kingdom Come 2. Henderson has a mixed track but tends to get these leaks correct, so that lends some credence to the speculation. We’ll find out what the game is when Warhorse reveals it in April 18, but let’s hope the devs learned from the first title.

The original Kingdom Come: Deliverance came out to mixed reviews at launch, though it did appeal to plenty of fans. It was an unforgiving RPG that made combat, leveling up, healing, and other gaming conventions harder than they should be. While we wouldn’t compare it to Dark Souls, the RPG’s difficulty appealed to a ton of gamers, which is probably why we’re getting a sequel.

It’s not hard to imagine Warhorse working on Kingdom Come 2, as the first game sold an impressive 6 million copies. That might not sound like a lot but for an original IP it was a lot, which is probably why we might get a sequel. Warhorse also ported the original Kingdom Come to Nintendo Switch, which got the same mixed reviews as the original RPG.

Are we going to get the reveal of Kingdom Come 2 next week? It seems likely but only time will tell. In the meantime, fans can give the original Kingdom Come a shot on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
