The horrors of the original Jurassic Park are back in Jurassic Park Survival. A new game from Universal and Saber Interactive, the upcoming video game returns to the terrors of Isla Nubar.

Taking the role of an InGenn scientist trapped on the island after the events of the original movie, Jurassic Park Survival tells a never-before-seen story in the long-running action franchise.

Revealed alongside games like Hideo Kojima’s OD, Exodus and more at The Game Awards 2023, the new Jurassic Park title certainly leaves an impact.

Releasing on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 and PC, Survival is a first-person action adventure game where you’ll struggle to survive against the dinosaurs still present on Isla Nubar before their transfer to the second movie’s island.

The impressive work-in-progress trailer shows some of the best looking visuals we’ve ever seen, perfectly recreating the aesthetic of the original movie as well as its dinosaurs. If you thought the T-Rex was terrifying before, wait until you’re right in front of it.

“Return to Isla Nublar the day after the events of the beloved 1993 Jurassic Park film in an original adventure 65 million years in the making,” the game’s synopsis reads. “Survive thrilling first-person action as InGen scientist Dr. Maya Joshi, who was unable to evacuate Isla Nublar, in this single-player action-adventure game and discover a never-before-told story.”

In the game, each dinosaur will have its own set of behaviours that you’ll have to learn in order to survive. After all, avoiding the hulking T-Rex and escaping the chase of speedy velociraptors require an entirely different set of skills.

Unfortunately, there is no release date for Jurassic Park Survival at the time of writing.
