Monster Hunter Stories 2 lets you hatch monster eggs to build your very own team of powerful Monsties. Each can be levelled up, making them stronger after every battle. Monster Hunter Stories 2: What Is the Maximum Level Cap?
The maximum level cap in Monster Hunter Stories 2 is 99. This applies to both Monsties and Riders. Upon hitting this cap you will stop levelling up, but will still receive bonuses for completing subquests and battles.
Will the Level Cap be Increased
Capcom has a habit of increasing the level cap for Monster Hunter games post launch. There is content coming in the future, so it's likely that the level cap will be increased in the future. When we hear more from Capcom we'll be sure to update this guide.
