Warzone disables helicopters, adds ‘Candy Collector’ mode

Infinity Ward has refreshed the playlists for the Halloween event in Warzone and Modern Warfare. They’ve also made a couple small changes to improve the experience.

Three new modes have been added to Warzone: BR Solo Survivor, Juggourdnaut Royale, and Plunder: Candy Collector.

The Trick-or-Trios mode has been removed.

So Warzone is now offering classic battle royale, Candy Collector, Solo Survivor, Zombie Royale, and Juggourdnaut Royale.

In a tweet on Friday afternoon, the developer announced that they’d disabled the “pumpkin head” effect “due to a bug.”

They’ve also removed all helicopters from nighttime Warzone modes.

The Haunting of Verdansk Halloween event kicked off on Tuesday, October 20, with the arrival of Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Saw cosmetics bundles, as well as ghost-filled Halloween Warzone variants.

“As Halloween draws near, a squad of operators drops in for what seems to be a normal infiltration into Verdansk, though there’s been back-channel chatter about some unexplained and odd occurrences across the remote areas of the map,” Activision writes in a recent blog post.

“Operators have been briefed about reports concerning a serial killer who wears his victim’s faces on his own. There’s scattered intel about strange sounds emanating from various locations within the warzone — and not least the piercing, creepy laugher of a ventriloquist doll.”

The Haunting of Verdansk event runs through November 3.
