Modern Warfare And Warzone: How To Gift The Seasonal Battle Pass To Your Friends

Looking to let your COD squad know how much you care? Activision’s made it easy to gift your friends the Call of Duty battle pass.

How To Gift A Call Of Duty Battle Pass

The season-five battle pass is compatible with Modern Warfare (2019) or Warzone on any platform, but you’ll need both an Activision account and the Call of Duty Companion app to gift one.

“In order to gift [someone] the battle pass, you first need to become Activision friends,” the publisher explained in a new blog post.

“Activision friends enable you to party up for cross-platform play. In the Companion app, you can view and compare each other’s stats across multiple titles, view your play feeds, and see how you stack up against one another on the leaderboards.”

Just make sure you’ve got enough COD points in your account (you can buy some with real-world currency if you’re short), and then click on the button that says: “Gift the pass.” (That’s under the app’s “player” tab.)

How The Battle Pass Works

“Once they claim their gift in-game, they’ll [instantly] unlock battle-pass tier-zero content and any other progression they’ve earned, plus the ability to unlock even more content across 100 tiers,” Activision said.

You unlock battle-pass tiers simply by playing Modern Warfare’s multiplayer modes and Warzone. These, in turn, unlock a bunch of cosmetic items and other rewards, including double-XP tokens and the like.

The battle pass makes Warzone seem slightly more rewarding; it’s great fun feeling that sense of progression while you fight it out on Verdansk.
