The first downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will launch on February 2nd for the PlayStation 4.
Previously, Activision and Treyarch presented Call of Duty fans with a small teaser into the first of four planned DLC map packs for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Awakening, at the PlayStation experience at the start of the month.
However, yesterday, Treyarch released a brand new preview trailer, delivering a behind-the-scenes insight into Awakening’s four new multiplayer maps: Gauntlet, Splash, Rise, Skyjacked—a reimagining of the fan-favorite Black Ops 2 multiplayer map, Hijacked and the latest Zombies map Der Eisendrache.
Interestingly, as the above video confirms, Treyarch have retained the presence of the competitive Call of Duty community within Awakening, stating that Rise is “one of our most competitive maps in the set”, embodying their iconic three lane structure. Treyarch Studios Multiplayer Director, Dan Bunting, also stated that he hopes Rise is “adopted into the eSports season”.
