Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 just launched on Xbox Series X/S and while it's certainly a great port, there are some teething issues currently. Many players are getting stuck at the 'Checking For Updates' screen. Here's how to fix it.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Xbox: Checking For Updates Bug Fix

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 just launched on Xbox Series X/S. It's an impressive feat, though not one without its fair share of launch issues. Many players are getting stuck on the 'Checking for updates' screen. Here are some fixes:

• Make sure you have the day one 27gb update installed
• Restart your Xbox to trigger the update, or to restart the game
• Even at this point, it can take up to 20 minutes to get into the servers. As long as the update is installed you can wait to get in.

This looks to be a simple launch server issue, so should be fixed in the near future. We had to wait for 10 minutes to get past the Checking for updates screen, but once we were in we were able to enjoy the game.
