Does Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy Have Multiplayer?

Square Enix’s E3 show might not have been the best but they did start out strong with Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, at least until the gameplay section and interviews went overly long.

Even with that, fans are happy to know that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy won’t be a looter brawler like Marvel’s Avengers, giving them a consistent single-player experience where they control Peter Quill aka Star-Lord throughout the whole game.

Does Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy Have Multiplayer?

That didn’t stop fans from asking if Guardians of the Galaxy is going to have any form of multiplayer, especially since Gamora, Rocket, Drax, and Groot are just chilling there or following orders from Star-Lord.

While it would be great if there was some multiplayer of some kind, Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal have stated that this is only a single-player experience so until a multiplayer mode is announced or patched in, you’re better off playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3.

While it would be easy to assume that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy focused on single-player due to the lack of success Marvel’s Avengers had for being a looter-brawler, reports have stated that this game was in development as a single-player title long before that.

Personally, I’d believe that report because video games aren’t easy to make and the decision to focus on either single-player or multiplayer has to be made early on so that developers can work on what makes those games quality.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is coming to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 22.
