100 Thieves Bags LCS First LCS Title In Organization History

League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Summer Split 2021 powerhouse 100 Thieves ended their LCS reign as the champion of the competition after they bested Team Liquid in a dominant 3-0 series victory.

100 Thieves made it to the grand finals after they went down the lower bracket which resulted from their defeat also against Team Liquid during the upper bracket finals. Yet it did not stop 100 Thieves as they managed to outlast Cloud9 in the lower bracket finals with a 3-1 series win.

First LCS Title

This is 100 Thieves’ first LCS title in history. The closest that they achieved was when they entered the grand finals in 2018 which was the year that they first entered the league, losing to, again, Team Liquid in that year’s LCS finals.

With their victory as the LCS champion for this year, 100 Thieves will enter the League of Legends World Championship in the Pool One of the competition wherein they will go straight to the Group Stages.

As for Team Liquid, this season was a roller coaster ride for them. After placing 5th in the preliminaries, they bounced back and won every match in the postseason before losing to the new champions in the grand finals. Yet still, we will still get to see the team in Worlds, along with third placers Cloud9.
