Season 5 of Warzone brings a brand-new event to the battle royale. Just like the previous events, the latest event arriving has its own theme and a new take on the gameplay fans have grown to love in recent years. The Warzone Heroes vs Villains event celebrates the arrival of iconic Call of Duty bad guys to Caldera.

When does the Warzone Heroes vs Villains event start?
The launch of the Heroes vs Villains event coincides with the start of Season 5, meaning the battle begins on August 24, 2022. This is when you can choose between representing the heroes or the villains.
What is a Warzone Faction Token?
Throughout the Heroes and Villains event, players can get their hands on Faction Tokens that appear in every single mode.
Although Raven Software is yet to share further details on the tokens, it appears players must use them to determine the eventual winners between the two factions.
You can earn a Faction Token by scoring kills and opening supply boxes and in return, you can earn a discount on Faction Bundles available to purchase at Buy Stations.
Warzone Heroes vs Villains event rewards
Once the Heroes vs Villains event comes to an end, all players will earn a unique weapon blueprint that's determined by the winning faction.
Alongside the blueprint, you can earn the following items:
- Heroes or Villains' weapon charm
- Time Duality watch
- Conflict Spike melee weapon blueprint
- One vs. One calling card

The end date for the Heroes vs Villains event is currently unknown but based on the previous in-game events, we can take a guess. We expect the event to conclude a few weeks after the start of Season 5 which allows everyone a chance to get their hands on some rewards and earn a couple of Faction Tokens.
