Sekiro 2 release date rumours

At the time of writing, there's no sign of Sekiro 2 releasing anytime soon which isn't great news if you're hoping for a new instalment of the series. Prior to The Game Awards show in 2022, a leak claimed the game would appear during the show but it never materialised.

As soon as we hear more information on the Sekiro 2 release date, we'll update the hub with everything you need to know.

Sekiro 2 news

So far, From Software is remaining silent regarding any Sekiro 2 news. Usually, the developer doesn't like talking about projects until they're almost finished so there's every chance we might be waiting a while for more information.

For now, we only know that the studio is going to release a continuation of its older series of games. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon should release sometime in 2023. And we hope that after, we will hear news about the Sekiro sequel.

Sekiro 2 leaks and rumours

Following the rumour of the game appearing at The Game Awards in 2022, Sekiro 2 leaks and rumours have dried up. Fans are hoping some information makes its way into the open and with E3 not far away, there's always a chance From Software drops a surprise announcement.

If any leaks do appear, it's always important to take them with a pinch of salt until any official announcement emerges. If we spot any potential leaks, we'll share them here.

What we'd love to see in Sekiro 2

Although it is not yet known if Sekiro 2 will ever be released, we are looking forward to hearing from the developers. Here's what we'd love to see included in the game:

Improved RPG

In the original game, players can upgrade characters and learn new skills. We think the ability to upgrade the existing skill tree would add a further layer of depth to Sekiro.

Multiplayer

Sekiro is undeniably a great solo game. It has a fascinating storyline and many difficult bosses and it would be even better if you could take them on with friends. PvP battles would also make an excellent addition as players attempt to block and dodge their way to victory using a variety of weaponry.

More primary weapons

The combat system in the original game is honed to perfection. However, you can only use Katana. It is not necessary to add as many weapons to the game as in Dark Souls. Choosing from multiple Shinobi classes with different primary weapons would make Sekiro 2 more replayable which is always a positive.

That's all we know so far about the development of Sekiro 2. We hope that after the release of Armored Core VI, the developers will announce a sequel. Before you go, make sure to check our list of the best action-adventure games.
